On Friday, November 20th at the Sheraton Hotel “Responsible Business Awards Gala” was held. The Executive Club tenth anniversary celebration, during which prizes were awarded to companies, nonprofit organizations and philanthropists who have distinguished themselves by outstanding achievements in the field of social activity and charity.

Gala guests were welcomed by Beata Radomska, President of the Executive Club and Marek Michałowski – Chairman of the Board. They recalled the difficult beginnings of the organization, which in 10 years has become a prestigious platform for representatives of the top management. Beata Radomska wished the participants a pleasant evening and expressed the hope that the first edition of the “Responsible Business Awards Gala” will initiate a long tradition of promoting the idea of ​​responsible business.

Gala was opened with the letter from Andrzej Duda, the President of the Republic of Poland. The President congratulated the originators of the Executive Club and winners of the “Responsible Business Awards”, and expressed the hope that the initiative of the Club will continue to serve the successful development of the Poland and the discussion accompanying the ceremony will be an inspiration for others. Jarosław Gowin – Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education in his inaugural speech thanked for the invitation to this important ceremony, stressed the importance of events and the need for cooperation between business, science and charitable institutions.

Gala consecutive points were: presentation by Marek Krupiński, Director General of the Polish National Committee for UNICEF, who presented the principles and advantages of the cooperation of large companies with UNICEF and “Du ut des” and a brief history about the reciprocity in love by Ph.D Dorota Hryniewiecka-Firlej – President of the Management Board of Pfizer Polska Sp. z o.o., who recalled the earliest experiences that inspired her to activities for the benefit of others. After the presentations, Professor Boleslaw Rok led a discussion about the charity business, during which speakers – Artur Czepczyński, owner and President of ABC – Czepczyński Sp . zoo. Sp.K., Ph.D Dorota Hryniewiecka-Firlej – President of the Management Board of Pfizer Polska Sp. z o.o., Andrzej Klesyk, CEO of PZU SA and Wojciech Szpil, Chairman of the Board of Totalizator Sportowy Sp. z o.o. presented their strategies of introducing the idea of responsible business.

Main highlight of the Gala was „Responsible Business Awards“ ceremony. The Competition Jury awarded this year as many as 17 statuettes and 5 special awards. The winners in the category of “Outstanding CSR Strategy” were the Grupa Raben, PZU SA and Unibep SA, and special mentions in this category went to Lyreco Poland SA and Promedica Care. Awards for “Outstanding CSR Project” were taken by Konsalnet Holding SA, Philips Lighting Poland and Robert Bosch. “Outstanding Corporate Philanthropist” statuettes went to Asseco Poland SA, Microsoft and Totalizator Sportowy, and the title of “Outstanding Individual Philanthropist” received Artur Czepczyński, owner, President of ABC – Czepczyński and Katarzyna Rudnicka, CEO of Vivenge. Stowarzyszenie (Association) SIEMACHA, founded by Fr. Andrzej Augustyński received the award in the category of “Outstanding Non-Profit Organization” and winners of special awards in this category were Ewa Blaszczyk’s Akogo Foundation and Stowarzyszenie SOS Wioski Dziecięce.


Additionally, the Executive Club Board decided to award special prizes to members who have distinguished themselves by their activities which had resulted in the realization of the vision of the company’s development and contributed to development of Polish economy. Special Award for Outstanding Leader was given to Dorota Hryniewiecka – Firle, President of the Management Board of Pfizer Polska, Jacek Krawiec, CEO of PKN Orlen and Dirk Elvermann, President of BASF Poland in 2012-2015. A special prizes in the “Special Award for Business Visionary” category were given to Adam Krzanowski, CEO of Grupa Nowy Styl and Krzysztof Pawinski, CEO of Maspex.

The gala was led by Odeta Moro, a television and radio journalist and Stanislaw Sygitowicz, actor.
