Grupa Azoty is one of the European key chemical groups active in the sectors of engineering plastics, nitrogen and compound fertilizers, OXO alcohols and plasticizers.

The mother company – Azoty Tarnów (currently Grupa Azoty S.A.) – has gathered complementary companies, including Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe „Puławy” S.A., Grupa Azoty ZCh „Police” S.A., Grupa Azoty ZAK S.A. and Grupa Azoty ATT Polymers GmbH with different traditions and expertise to take advantage of their potential to implement the common strategy, and has created the Azoty Group.

LOTOS is vertically integrated oil entity focused on crude oil exploration and production, petroleum processing as well as commodities sales. It has approx. 33% stake in domestic wholesale fuel market. Moreover LOTOS holds strong position in lubes, greases and bitumen sales in Poland. Since June the 9th 2005 Grupa LOTOS S.A. is listed on Warsaw Stock Exchange.

LOTOS operates state-of-the-art refinery (located in Gdańsk), holding a suitable connection to “Druzhba” pipeline and Naftoport – Baltic Sea terminal network. In 2011, using hi-tech solutions e.g. Best Available Techniques (BAT), LOTOS finished comprehensive upgrade investment project (Programme 10+), which main goal was to boost refining capacity to 10.5 mtpa. Programme 10+ fruition was estimated on 1,5 billion Euro. Due to Programme 10+ LOTOS is able to enhance Polish, NW Europe and CEE energy security policy, especially in the range of stable fuel supplies.

On the upstream side LOTOS is present on the Baltic Sea, Norwegian Continental Shelf and onshore in Lithuania. In 2015 LOTOS plans to produce 1,2 mtpa of crude oil.

Ciech is one of the largest Polish companies operating continuously since 1945. Currently, Ciech is one of the leaders of the European chemical market with a global range of operations. It consists of seven production companies, as well as trading companies and service providers.

The main business segments developed by the Ciech Chemical Group are: soda segment (production facilities in Poland, Germany and Romania); organic segment (Organika – Sarzyna Chemical Plant and Ciech Pianki); as well as silicate and glass segment (Vitrosilicon).

The main products of the Group are: soda ash and baking soda; salt; polyester and epoxy resins; plant protection chemicals; glass products and other chemicals used in the following industries: glass, furniture, food and construction industries, and agriculture.

Since February 2005, Ciech has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

PKO Bank Polski is the Polish banking sector leader. In 2013, PKO Bank Polski Capital Group posted a solid financial result of PLN 3.2 billion. The bank is Polish company with the highest value of free-float shares listed on the WSE. PKO Bank Polski is also a bank with the strongest image in Poland.

SYNTHOS S.A. is one of the largest manufacturers of chemical raw materials in Poland, as well as being Europe’s No. 1 manufacturer of emulsion synthetic rubbers and leading manufacturer of polystyrene for foaming applications.

SYNTHOS S.A. grew out of the companies Firma Chemiczna Dwory S.A. and Kaucuk a.s. The current name “SYNTHOS” (introduced in 2007), derives from a fusion of two words of Greek origin: synthesis (join) and orthos (proper, right). The name replicates the Company’s mission which is to manufacture and supply its clients with chemical products for further processing, contributing to the development of each client’s business. The name also reflects the nature of the Company’s operation in chemical synthesis.
