Prior to joining SGAM AI Private Equity in 2005. Jacek Pogonowski was a Partner with Baring Corilius Private Equity (formerly Baring Private Equity Partners) and headed their Warsaw office.  Joined the firm in 1992. He is responsible for EI strategy in Poland as well as in Central & Eastern Europe. He has led twenty direct investments and currently sits on two portfolio company boards. He joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in December 2005. Since joining the company he has advised a number of Polish enterprises as well as foreign companies. As Minister of State Treasury, in the years 2004-2005, he successfully completed a number of privatization transactions through the Warsaw Stock Exchange, including the biggest IPO in Poland – PKO BP.

As Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Poland, in the years 1994-2004, he participated in the process of creating regulations for the Polish capital market, as well as regulations which adjusted Polish law to the European Union’s regulations. Jacek Socha was engaged, from the very beginning, in the creation of Corporate Governance rules in Poland, he is the co-writer of the first rules approved by the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2002. He is the Member of the Corporate Governance Committee. Jacek Socha is an Arbitrator of the Arbitrary Court acting by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority.

He is in charge of all operations of the fund’s Warsaw office. He supervises current investment projects and is focused on Penta’s new acquisitions on the Polish market. Rafał Sosna has been successfully managing the restructuring of Drumet – the leading steel wires, ropes and staple bands producer in Poland and Europe.

Rafał Sosna joined Penta in 2009. Before being appointed as the Managing Director, he had been holding the position of Penta’s Investment Director in Poland. Prior to that he worked for UBS investment bank. Rafał Sosna has graduated from Politechnika Warszawska and holds MBA diploma from INSEAD.
